What you will do

• Execute recurring month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Manage payroll administration and equity/stock reporting using Rippling and Carta.
• Handle revenue recognition and configure customer contracts in NetSuite under ASC 606.
• Oversee expense management and corporate card transactions using Ramp.
• Implement process improvements and pilot AI-enabled workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Support annual audits and maintain detailed process documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of month-end close.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Hands-on experience with a major ERP, preferably NetSuite.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Durham, North Carolina.
• Mindset and aptitude for experimenting with AI tools to improve efficiency.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active candidate.
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or payments/fintech sectors.
• Proficiency using Anthropic's Claude in an accounting context.
• Familiarity with Rippling, Ramp, Carta, or Maxio.
