What you will do

• Build and maintain custom Zendesk Apps to enhance agent-facing data visibility.
• Own technical configuration of AI chatbots, including API scripting, JSON parsing, and conversation flow design.
• Integrate support tools with internal systems (Slack, Jira) and third-party vendors using scripting and low-code platforms.
• Design and implement quality checks and fallback paths to ensure chatbot logic fails safely.
• Translate Customer Operations needs into technical requirements and API specifications for partner engineering teams.

Requirements

• Experience building or configuring AI-powered features, chatbot logic, and LLM API integrations in production.
• Strong proficiency with REST APIs, Webhooks, JSON, and authentication protocols (OAuth/API keys).
• Experience administering or developing for the Zendesk ecosystem (Support, Guide, App Framework).
• Ability to use AI coding tools to ship production-ready code with sound judgment.
• Comfortability using low-code automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or Workato.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Liquid Markup.
• Experience writing PRDs or detailed technical specifications.
• Frontend knowledge (HTML/CSS) for internal tooling development.
• Production experience with Node.js and/or Python for building dependent tools.
