What you will do

• Act as the internal subject matter expert on payroll tax, advising payroll, equity, HR, and accounting teams on legislative changes.
• Lead global payroll tax audits and respond to inquiries from revenue authorities to minimize business risk.
• Develop and implement global payroll tax policies and document technical positions.
• Collaborate with the equity administration group to validate equity withholding and plan shareholder transactions.
• Support M&A integration to ensure pre and post-close payroll tax positions are optimized.
• Partner with the Finance Data Team to re-imagine payroll tax reporting using Databricks technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Knowledge of international payroll tax regulations and equity compensation tax matters.
• Experience with payroll systems and tax filing platforms (Workday, SAP, or Netsuite preferred).
• Experience leading payroll tax audits and negotiating with revenue authorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday.
• Knowledge of mobility tax issues (state-to-state or country-to-country).
• Experience working within large, complex, multinational organizations.
