TL;DR

What you will do

  • Define and design system-level architecture for surgical navigation and visualization platforms.
  • Translate clinical and product requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optical navigation technologies and hardware components (cameras, robotics).
  • Develop and optimize real-time surgical visualization and augmented reality (AR) capabilities.
  • Perform verification and validation (V&V) activities to ensure compliance with medical device standards.
  • Manage system risk through hazard analysis and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or complex product development.
  • Experience with software development using C# and Unity.
  • Proven track record of integrating software with physical hardware systems.
  • Strong understanding of optical navigation and real-time visualization technologies.
  • Proficiency with SDLC, Git, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience in FDA/ISO regulated medical device environments.
  • Background in robotic systems or surgical navigation platforms.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics in orthopedic applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, web services, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with immersive visualization or augmented reality systems.
