What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of complex exploration projects in Sweden, including drilling campaigns and electromagnetic surveys.
• Manage procurement strategies, including contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract administration.
• Develop project-level risk assessments and mitigation plans, with a specific focus on Swedish winter construction conditions.
• Direct end-to-end field activities from mobilization through to site remediation and rehabilitation.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance with Swedish mining and environmental legislation and EU regulations.
• Collaborate with Project Geologists and Data Scientists to support machine-learning-driven dynamic field programs.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in field operations within mineral exploration, mining, or oil and gas.
• Advanced knowledge of Nordic construction methodology, including winter and frozen-ground construction.
• Expertise in helicopter-supported exploration and emergency response considerations.
• Must be fluent in Swedish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Legally authorized to work in Sweden or Finland.
• Valid First Aid Certification (Level 3 or Wilderness First Aid preferred).

Nice to have

• Subject matter expertise in drilling, EM surveys, or civil works.
• Understanding of data science products and their application in mineral exploration.
• Experience with Swedish and/or Nordic regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in Finnish or other Nordic languages.
