Operations & Maintenance Service Engineer (f/m/d)

Location: Mechelen, Belgium; hybrid model with typically three days on-site and two days in the office, plus flexible mobility across Belgium and the Netherlands.

hirify.global Power Plants Belgium develops, builds, finances, and operates decentralised energy generation plants for industrial customers in Belgium and the Netherlands, using technologies including cogeneration, biofuels, hydrogen, waste-to-energy, photovoltaics, heat pumps, e-boilers, energy storage, and flexibility solutions.

What you will do

• Supervise operation and maintenance of on-site power and heat generation plants.
• Guide and advise clients on plant operation and exploitation.
• Manage work clearances and supervise maintenance activities involving instrumentation and control.
• Analyze defects, incidents, and other plant-related issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Identify optimization measures and negotiate agreements with customers and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot unplanned downtime, participate in on-call service, and prepare incident reports.

Requirements

• Higher technical degree or equivalent qualification, with experience operating and maintaining technical installations, preferably in power generation or utilities.
• Project management skills and good knowledge of process technology and automation.
• Fluent Dutch at C2 level and business-fluent English at C1 level.
• Ability to work empathetically and inclusively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Stress resistance, responsiveness, independence, flexibility, strong responsibility, and good communication skills.
• Flexible mobility across Belgium and the Netherlands, with regular on-site work.

• Additional language skills.
