What you will do

• Provide technical pre-sales support and resolve customer issues regarding Ethernet switching silicon.
• Assist customers with software bring-up, debugging, and implementation of networking protocols.
• Develop software documentation and provide technical training on switch features and implementation.
• Review customer schematics and layouts to ensure signal integrity, assembly, and manufacturing quality.
• Collaborate with Marketing and AE teams to define specifications for next-generation tools and products.
• Perform national travel (up to 30%) to clients within the U.S. for on-site debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Communications/Network Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in field application engineering or a related technical occupation.
• 3+ years of experience with C/C++, Linux (User and Kernel mode), and embedded Operating System concepts.
• Deep knowledge of computer networking (VLAN, STP, L2, L3) and high-speed interfaces (SGMII, XFI, XAUI, SFI).
• Experience with Ethernet switch SDKs/APIs (CPSS/SAI), board bring-up, and SerDes tuning.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
