Location: Hybrid (Onsite 1–3 days/week in Warren, Michigan)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end mechanical architecture and packaging execution for HUD modules.
• Translate optical and system requirements into compact, manufacturable build-to-print designs.
• Lead packaging studies and trade-offs to optimize volume, cost, and performance.
• Perform mechanical design and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure precise alignment.
• Collaborate with Creative Design and Vehicle Integration teams to align with vehicle interfaces.
• Drive supplier mechanical design reviews and support validation and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and packaging.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX, CATIA, or Creo).
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with HUD or display packaging.
• Background in opto-mechanical integration.
• Knowledge of thermal and vibration design.
• Familiarity with GM engineering processes.
• Six Sigma or DFSS certification.
