Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/React)

What you will do

• Design and maintain Java back-end microservices with Quarkus or Spring Boot, exposing versioned REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Build responsive Next.js and React portal features using TypeScript and Apollo.
• Develop Databricks workflows with Unity Catalog, Delta tables, and the medallion pattern for regulatory reporting and dashboards.
• Evolve PostgreSQL or Oracle transactional schemas with versioned Liquibase changesets.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; conduct code reviews and diagnose issues across services, portals, and data pipelines.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, reusable software and drive delivery through GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years building and shipping production software, with strong recent experience in Java/JVM and Quarkus or Spring Boot.
• Full-stack experience owning features from a Next.js, React, and TypeScript front end through a Java service to the data layer.
• Experience taking business requirements through end-to-end design and delivery with scalability and reusability in mind.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating RESTful and GraphQL APIs, including contract versioning and API security.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle, Hibernate/JPA, ideally Quarkus Panache, and Liquibase.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Delta, and Unity Catalog, including data models, lineage, and access control.
• Experience deploying and running services on Azure with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, and container registries.
• Fluency with Git and GitHub-based CI/CD, including automated build, testing, security scanning, and promotion pipelines; working knowledge of Terraform.
• Knowledge of metadata standards, data-movement patterns, ETL/ELT best practices, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum.
• Ability to lead development initiatives, make design decisions, solve problems independently, manage priorities, and communicate technical and regulatory requirements clearly.

Nice to have

• Apache Spark and large-scale Databricks processing, including DBX job orchestration.
• Change-data-capture patterns and tools such as HVR.
• GHAS, Wiz, Dependabot, and secure-SDLC practices.
• Feature-flagged trunk-based delivery and continuous release models.
• AI-assisted development workflows using tools such as Copilot or Cursor.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven domains.
• Datadog or Azure Application Insights experience.
