What you will do

• Design and maintain Java-based microservices exposing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Build responsive front-end features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Develop and support Databricks data workflows for regulatory reporting.
• Manage relational database schemas using Liquibase and Hibernate/JPA.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and implement comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with architects and data scientists to ensure system scalability and alignment with design patterns.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production software with Java/JVM.
• Demonstrated full-stack capability with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience deploying services on Azure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing on Databricks.
• Background in regulated or compliance-driven domains.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and observability tools like Datadog.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
