What you will do

• Own the full revenue cycle including charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and AR workflows.
• Investigate and resolve claim rejections, denials, and underpayments through appeals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
• Manage patient collection activities and reconcile payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and present clear revenue cycle metrics and reports for management.
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer guidelines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of medical billing experience with dedicated behavioral health focus is a hard requirement.
• Hands-on experience with Medicare Part B billing and ability to work independently.
• Current HIPAA certification is required.
• Strong proficiency in behavioral health CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting.
• Exceptional phone etiquette and compassionate communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EHR/EMR systems.
• Experience with Medicaid billing.
• Familiarity with EAP insurances like Lyra and ComPsych.
