Staff Software Engineer - Eligibility and Enrollment (Cloud Platform)

Salary: $184,500–$277,000 annual base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, delivery, and testing of large-scale, compliant software systems.
• Translate undefined business problems into structured software plans, timelines, and technical execution.
• Own the architecture and scalability of core systems supporting the hirify.global Me consumer platform.
• Drive improvements in tooling, documentation, development workflows, and developer productivity.
• Guide architectural decisions, lead technical discussions, and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and shape platform strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure production software in Go, Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Azure.
• Experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Backstage, or related platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design, analytical problem-solving, debugging, and technical communication.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices, software delivery platforms, DevSecOps, continuous integration, and release management.
• 2+ years of experience on a centralized developer platform team.
• Strong focus on developer experience and user empathy.
