What you will do

• Own one or more backend projects across product and platform teams.
• Build and launch workplace security products and features used by customers globally.
• Architect scalable systems and design latency-sensitive applications.
• Design complex systems with simple, robust backend APIs in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Drive technical direction and lead project execution across team boundaries.
• Build and maintain highly available distributed messaging systems, including mass notification systems and SMS capabilities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience in backend software engineering.
• 2+ years of backend engineering experience at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company.
• Demonstrated expertise in Python or Go.
• Deep expertise with relational databases and experience owning backend systems end to end.
• Experience leading technical direction, project execution, and cross-functional system design.
• BS or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related science.

Nice to have

• Postgres experience.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with distributed messaging architectures and the SMS ecosystem, including throughput management, carrier delivery, and global compliance.
