What you will do

  • Lead propulsion system design, including engine/motor sizing, performance modeling, and propulsion-airframe integration.
  • Oversee rapid prototyping efforts from initial concept sizing through detailed design and flight test support.
  • Define technical approaches and standards for the propulsion discipline within the Special Programs team.
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments for new opportunities, RFPs, and mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical approaches with program timelines and constraints.
  • Represent Special Programs in internal reviews and discussions with government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Propulsion Engineering.
  • 8–12 years of relevant engineering experience in aircraft propulsion design and analysis.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) as defined by ITAR/EAR.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • Proven experience in performance modeling and aircraft propulsion-airframe integration.
  • Ability to work independently with significant technical ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Familiarity with hybrid-electric or turbo-generator propulsion architectures.
