Base salary: $162,000–$270,000 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $212,000–$350,000 USD annually.

What you will do
- Own the development of electric propulsion and fluidic products or systems as a technical lead.
- Perform conceptual and detailed performance calculations, systems modeling, static and transient analysis, and system design.
- Gather, define, and manage requirements across the end-to-end development process.
- Lead systems engineering activities, test planning, instrumentation, execution, and data analysis.
- Make risk-based technical decisions and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage schedules, coordinate engineers and technicians, mentor team members, and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in propulsion system development or an equivalent high-performance field.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, mechatronics, or another technical engineering discipline.
- Expertise in propulsion system modeling, static and transient analysis, and model validation using test data.
- Experience with requirements, detailed design, qualification, production, and acceptance testing.
- Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering V and risk-based decision-making.
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jama, Python for data manipulation, NX or equivalent CAD software, GD&T, PLM systems, and National Instruments data acquisition systems.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting flight hardware.
- Master’s degree or PhD and hands-on engineering experience.
