Senior Accountant (Financial Controls & Regulatory Reporting)

What you will do

• Prepare daily spreadsheets, schedules, and analyses supporting customer asset segregation and financial control reporting.
• Perform daily and monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare regulatory schedules and support daily and monthly compliance filings.
• Assist with month-end income statement preparation, variance analysis, revenue analysis, and expense accruals in accordance with GAAP.
• Coordinate audit data gathering, schedule preparation, and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Partner with management and operational departments on ad hoc financial projects and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related financial discipline.
• 7–10+ years of progressive professional accounting experience in corporate or regulatory environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, and financial controls skills.
• Experience collaborating with management, preparing financial results, and meeting strict daily reporting deadlines.
• Ability to work in Chicago, 60604.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Dynamics 365, Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, or Power BI.
• Regulatory accounting experience in financial services, brokerage, or futures.
• Experience working in collaborative and culturally diverse corporate environments.
