Location: Must be based in Mountain View, CA (Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site)

Salary: $159,000 - $184,000

hirify.global is an end-to-end Space Systems Provider designing and operating LEO satellite constellations for Earth Intelligence.

What you will do

  • Translate system-level requirements into detailed test procedures and develop Python-based automation scripts.
  • Conduct electro-optical performance testing for VSWIR and IR cameras, including metrics like NEDT and NUC.
  • Design and maintain electrical and optical ground support equipment (EGSE/OGSE).
  • Lead camera-level testing in partnership with environmental teams for TVAC, radiation, and vibration campaigns.
  • Perform post-processing of test data and participate in interdisciplinary root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with systems and optical engineers to ensure comprehensive subsystem verification.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person or eligible for export authorization (ITAR/EAR compliance).
  • Ph.D. with relevant experience, or M.S. with 3+ years, or B.S. with 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for instrument automation and data analysis.
  • Proven experience with precision electrical and optical metrology test hardware.
  • Experience performing statistical data analysis and generating technical test reports.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mountain View, CA three days per week.

Nice to have

  • Basic proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) for designing test fixtures.
  • Experience operating thermal ovens and TVAC chambers.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments.
