HITL Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and document high-fidelity hardware-in-the-loop and flatsat testbeds.
• Operate testbeds for system validation, verification, investigations, and on-orbit mission operations.
• Integrate and test flight-representative hardware, avionics, simulation equipment, and ground support racks.
• Create and release harness drawings and maintain HITL table configurations and supporting GSE racks.
• Troubleshoot testbed issues and improve designs, automation, scalability, and configuration flexibility.
• Support customer integration deployments and mission-operator training for constellation management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, computer, or another engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in integration, test, or automation engineering, including relevant internships and engineering projects.
• Hands-on experience with HITL or flatsat software verification testbeds.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining test racks and harnesses.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting integrated avionics systems and related components.
• Experience using electrical test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and DMMs, including work with ESD-sensitive equipment.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience with Linux systems and containerized solutions such as Docker.
• Experience managing customer or launch-vehicle contractual interfaces.
• Interest in developing scalable and innovative HITL solutions.
