What you will do

• Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for Feed Retrieval aligned with product and business objectives.
• Manage, coach, and develop a high-impact team of Machine Learning Engineers.
• Oversee the design and optimization of retrieval systems to source relevant and diverse candidates for personalized feeds.
• Establish measurement and experimentation practices to evaluate retrieval quality and downstream impact.
• Collaborate with ML platform, infrastructure, ranking, and safety teams to build scalable, low-latency systems.
• Partner with recruiting to attract and hire diverse, world-class ML talent.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing high-performing ML or recommender-systems teams.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale production ML, specifically retrieval models, embeddings, transformers, or LLMs.
• Deep domain knowledge in candidate retrieval, indexing systems, and feed personalization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical strategies across ambiguous problem spaces.
• Must be based in the United States.
