What you will do
- Define and design system-level architecture for surgical navigation and visualization platforms.
- Translate clinical and product requirements into detailed technical specifications and system requirements.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and clinical teams to integrate optical navigation technologies.
- Support the development and optimization of real-time surgical visualization and augmented reality capabilities.
- Perform verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with medical device standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues across integrated hardware and software environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or complex product development.
- Experience integrating software with physical hardware systems such as cameras and tracking systems.
- Strong understanding of optical navigation systems and real-time visualization technologies.
- Proficiency with SDLC, version control (Git), and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with 3D visualization, real-time systems, or game engine-based applications.
Nice to have
- Experience in medical device systems engineering or regulated environments (FDA/ISO).
- Experience with software development using C# and Unity.
- Background in augmented reality or immersive visualization systems.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, web services, and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics in orthopedic applications.
