Workplace Engineering Manager, End User Compute (Microsoft)

Location: 229 West 43rd Street, New York, New York; onsite role

Salary: USD 150,000–170,000 yearly

What you will do

• Set the technical vision, architecture, standards, and governance for end user compute and workplace platforms.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization supporting more than 9,000 managed devices and continued growth through mergers and acquisitions.
• Embed security-by-design practices across endpoint platforms, identity, device posture, data protection, observability, and compliance.
• Guide platform architecture across Windows, macOS, and Linux, including Microsoft 365, VDI, collaboration, and endpoint management services.
• Partner with Cyber Security and Workplace Product & Operations on platform alignment, service quality, and user experience.
• Oversee physical security engineering functions covering badging, access control, and security camera systems.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading large end user compute or workplace engineering functions and defining architectural strategy and platform standards.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Office 365, Windows 365, VDI, VMware Horizon, AWS WorkSpaces, and localized virtualization solutions such as Parallels.
• Experience with OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Nexthink, and/or TeamViewer DEX.
• Experience supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS/iPadOS device environments, plus enterprise observability and compliance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
• Experience leading or overseeing physical security engineering and managing multidisciplinary teams of 14 or more engineers across onshore and offshore execution.
• Strong collaboration skills with Cyber Security and Workplace Product & Operations, including the ability to translate business, security, and operational requirements into scalable frameworks.
