Manager of IT Applications and Client Platform Engineering (Endpoint Engineering)

Location: San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule; in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with work from home generally available on Wednesday

Base salary: $194,000–$220,000 per year, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage and mentor four engineers across client platform engineering and applications engineering.
• Set strategy and lead execution for the endpoint fleet across macOS, Windows, and mobile, including MDM, zero-touch deployment, software catalog management, and OS lifecycle.
• Partner with Corporate Security to strengthen endpoint security, respond to incidents, and connect security initiatives with endpoint engineering.
• Oversee the SaaS applications function, including Asana, Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, DocuSign, 1Password, Slab, and Figma.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex endpoint issues, MDM decisions, and cross-team initiatives.
• Drive automation through scripting, APIs, and workflow tooling while documenting processes and partnering with Security, HR, Legal, and other business teams.

Requirements

• Deep experience managing client endpoint infrastructure across macOS and Windows; mobile experience with iOS or Android is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, BigFix, or AirWatch, including familiarity with zero-touch deployment.
• Experience with identity platforms such as Okta and their integration with endpoint management.
• Ability to write Bash or PowerShell scripts and work with APIs and orchestration tools such as Workato.
• Sufficient SaaS administration experience with Google Workspace, Slack, and similar platforms to lead an applications engineering function.
• Management experience, including leading projects or a small team, with clear communication and written prioritization skills.
