Mid-To-Senior Process Engineer (Nuclear)

What you will do

• Develop process and hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and heat and material balances.
• Prepare and update PFDs, P&IDs, process design criteria, line lists, and equipment lists.
• Create equipment specifications and procurement packages for pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and piping components.
• Coordinate with vendors to review submittals, resolve technical comments, and evaluate deviations.
• Participate in design, hazard, and operability reviews, as well as commissioning planning.
• Provide field and startup support, including walkdowns and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Nuclear, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of process engineering experience supporting nuclear, DOE, or high-hazard industrial facilities.
• Hands-on experience with P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor coordination.
• Strong technical writing and cross-discipline coordination skills.
• US citizenship is required to obtain and maintain necessary site access and security clearances.

Nice to have

• Experience with uranium processing, hot cells, gloveboxes, or high-temperature process systems.
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or operational readiness.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Active DOE L or Q clearance.
