What you will do

• Help devise and plan a research project focused on using and optimizing viral vectors for cell therapy.
• Conduct the project under the supervision of the Viral Vector Core lead.
• Analyze experimental data and use the results to guide further experiments.
• Present the completed work in a final PowerPoint presentation near the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship, or be eligible for CPT/OPT through a university.
• Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited US university or college and remain enrolled full-time in the fall semester after the internship.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate student, or a graduate or doctoral student.
• Must be able to complete a consecutive 10–12 week internship between May and August and work at the designated site for its duration.
• Knowledge of basic molecular and cell biology principles and techniques is required.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD degree qualification.
• Basic laboratory virology knowledge and experience with tissue culture cells in a biosafety cabinet.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Interest in virology, immunology, or cancer cell therapy.
• Ability to identify issues, seek solutions, work independently and collaboratively, and manage short timelines.
