AI Developer Intern

Location: Hybrid role based in Barcelona, Poblenou, Spain

hirify.global's Technology Delivery Center in Barcelona provides software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure solutions for local and global business units.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Python/FastAPI backend services and REST APIs.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into application workflows.
• Create AI agents for key insurance processes.
• Connect internal and external data sources through APIs.
• Contribute to end-to-end AI applications such as regulatory monitoring, insurance data assistance, and financial crime alerting solutions.

Requirements

• Active student status in a computer science, software engineering, data engineering, or related degree at a Spanish university.
• Availability for at least 6 months, up to 30 hours per week; a 12-month commitment is preferred.
• Solid Python skills, including the ability to build a backend service and call an API independently.
• Understanding of REST APIs and comfort with Git.
• Fluent English required.
• Interest in building software around existing AI models; this is not a data science or ML engineering role.

Nice to have

• React, Docker, SQL, cloud fundamentals, or hands-on AI/LLM experience.
