Senior AI Enablement Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain; office-first, flexible hybrid work with on-site attendance several days a week.

Salary: €60,000–€80,000 gross annual.

What you will do

• Partner with business teams, executives, and team leads to define viable AI use cases and translate ambiguous needs into buildable solutions.
• Build reusable templates, skills, agents, MCP servers, integrations, and internal tools.
• Define reference architectures, recommended technology stacks, and development practices for internal AI solutions.
• Design secure defaults for identity, permissions, secrets, and data access with the Security team, including experimentation sandboxes.
• Guide architecture and implementation reviews, maintain a catalog of reusable components, and enable internal AI champions through office hours and documentation.
• Evaluate tools and vendors, manage solution ownership and lifecycle practices, and establish the foundations for a growing AI Enablement team.

Requirements

• Senior-level programming experience with production APIs, integrations, identity and authentication, and automation.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agents, including tool use, RAG, structured outputs, prompt engineering, and context engineering.
• Background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Systems, or internal tooling with a strong platform mindset.
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders, scope ambiguous ideas, and connect technical solutions to business goals.
• Experience with security-by-design practices such as least privilege, secrets management, dependency review, and controlled data access.
• Ability to work from Barcelona with on-site attendance several days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience administering Google Workspace, SSO with SAML/OIDC, directories, or access management.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; containers, serverless infrastructure, or Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, Python, TypeScript, Bash, monitoring, or logging.
• Exposure to MCP servers, AI plugins, agent frameworks, automation platforms, or AI and data governance.
• Experience in Business Technology, IT Systems, Solutions Architecture, or enablement programs.
