AI Engineer – Internal Automation (Forward Deployed)

TL;DR

AI Engineer (Internal Automation) (AI/Python): Building and deploying end-to-end internal AI solutions to automate business workflows with an accent on LLM application design and RAG pipelines. Location: Hybrid in Madrid (minimum 3 days per week on-site)

What you will do

• Embed with business teams (Operations, Creative, Support) to identify manual pain points through direct shadowing.
• Design and ship end-to-end AI systems, including LLM applications, agents, RAG pipelines, and chatbots.
• Own the full development lifecycle from initial discovery and prototyping to production deployment and adoption.
• Establish and track metrics to measure the time and effort reclaimed through automation.
• Independently prioritize your own roadmap based on identified business needs and potential impact.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on production experience shipping AI systems using LLM frameworks like LangGraph or LlamaIndex.
• Strong engineering foundation in Python, APIs, microservices, databases, and AWS.
• Proven track record of owning projects end-to-end without a supporting team.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex manual processes into technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in Madrid and able to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
