TL;DR
Director of Technology (Fintech): Leading enterprise-scale core banking modernization and technology strategy with an accent on platform architecture, delivery execution, and cross-functional team leadership. Focus on driving digital transformation, implementing agile governance, and managing complex dependencies across cloud and API-based environments.
Location: Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA. If located in Washington state near Tukwila, hybrid attendance at HQ is required on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
Salary: $199,300–$243,800 annually.

What you will do
- Align technology strategy with business goals and lead enterprise-scale core banking initiatives.
- Oversee technology roadmaps, engineering efforts, and end-to-end delivery execution.
- Foster a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
- Drive improvements in software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automation, and quality standards.
- Manage vendor contracts, SOWs, and external implementation partners.
- Establish governance practices to ensure transparency, predictability, and effective dependency management.
Requirements
- Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA.
- Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience in technology.
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with expertise in application design and large-scale platform delivery.
- Domain experience in ERP, infrastructure, or financial products like core banking, deposits, or loans.
- Proven ability to build technology platforms and lead cross-team coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree.
- Experience with Fiserv/DNA or similar core banking platforms.
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with multiple vendor dependencies.
