What you will do

• Lead and execute moderately complex audit projects from planning through reporting.
• Assess risk and control effectiveness while maintaining independence and objectivity.
• Document control narratives and conduct testing to identify control gaps.
• Draft summary reports and lead management discussions regarding audit findings.
• Act as a subject matter expert to team members and business partners.
• Perform follow-up activities to validate the adequacy of corrective actions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit within a financial institution (bank or credit union).
• Strong knowledge of internal control concepts and IIA professional standards.
• Advanced skills in presenting findings and translating technical data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, independent judgment, and executive presence.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, or CCUIA.
