TL;DR

Senior Manager, Risk & Controls (Finance): Leading and maturing the SOX compliance program with an accent on regulatory expertise, risk management, and strategic oversight. Location: Hybrid in Minneapolis, MN (approx. 2 days/week in-office)

Salary: $133,500 - $207,500

What you will do

• Own the leadership and continuous improvement of the SOX program, setting standards that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary SOX regulatory expert, translating SEC, PCAOB, and COSO developments into actionable updates.
• Provide senior-level oversight of external auditor engagements and review key program deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Lead the identification and resourcing of SOX activities, including M&A integration and system implementation support.
• Coach and develop a high-performing Risk & Controls team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Build trusted advisory relationships with business partners to support broader risk management priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or risk and controls.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in SEC, PCAOB, and COSO frameworks.
• Understanding of IT control domains and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Minneapolis, MN.

Nice to have

• Experience at a Big 4 or national public accounting firm.
• Experience supporting SOX-related work in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
