What you will do

• Manage the SOX program by documenting business processes, assessing risks, and evaluating control design and operation.
• Design and execute tests to conclude on operating effectiveness and manage deficiencies through remediation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure new or changing business processes are SOX compliant at the time of implementation.
• Plan and schedule risk-based internal audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and systems.
• Conduct fieldwork, document audit workpapers, and prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with control owners and external auditors.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York, NY (Hybrid)
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting or industry experience.
• BS/BA or MS/MA in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, Auditing Standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
