Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Santa Clara, CA or Roseville, CA (On-site role)

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 base pay

What you will do

• Design and validate mechanical modules and chassis for high-density networking switches.
• Implement designs using Creo 3D CAD and generate all necessary manufacturing documentation.
• Design heat sinks and manage thermal simulations and airflow testing.
• Structure and manage bills of materials (BOM) using product lifecycle management tools.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering teams on PCB layout and placement.
• Work in the lab to prototype, debug, and address manufacturing issues with contract manufacturers.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be able to work on-site in Santa Clara, CA or Roseville, CA.
• Experience designing sheetmetal and plastic parts for hardware products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to Asia and within North America as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PTC Creo and PTC Windchill.
• Experience with thermal simulation, airflow testing, or liquid cooling systems.
• Background in mechanical design for data center or networking equipment.
