Compensation: $165,000 – $305,000 base salary.

What you will do

• Architect and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.
• Write, ship, and maintain production-grade code using Scala and functional programming.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build customer-focused blockchain intelligence products.
• Explore and integrate new technologies, including cloud-native tools and AI-driven systems.
• Mentor and upskill team members while championing engineering best practices.
• Take shared ownership of data systems from design through deployment and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Hands-on production experience with Scala and functional programming.
• Proven ability to design and maintain distributed data systems in a cloud environment.
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of data modeling and workflow orchestration.

Nice to have

• Experience with stream processing frameworks and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Interest in AI-driven tooling and blockchain technologies.
