Mental Health Therapist (1099 Contractor)

Location: Remote in the United States; clinicians must be able to work with clients in Oneonta, Utica, Lake View, Massena, and Watertown, New York. A New York office space for client sessions is required, with in-person care strongly preferred.

What you will do

• Provide culturally responsive, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
• Support clients across a broad spectrum of mental health needs, including complex and severe presentations.
• Apply evidence-based treatments such as ACT, CBT, CPT, and DBT.
• Manage clinical risk and respond to client crises when needed.
• Deliver care remotely and, where possible, in person through a private or group practice.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree from a clinical-track program, such as MSW, MFT, MC, MMHC, PhD, or PsyD.
• Unrestricted independent license, such as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent, with no current, past, or pending disciplinary action.
• Experience providing evidence-based treatment and applying clinical best practices, including measurement-based care and skills practice.
• Ability to provide care to children, adults, couples, and/or families.
• Must have office space in the New York area and be authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience managing clinical risk and responding to crises.
