What you will do

• Support the Data Protection Officer in meethirify.global obligations under the Privacy Act, APPs, GDPR, and global policies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for privacy queries across Retail, Business Bankhirify.global, Wholesale, Technology, and Operations.
• Review and challenge personal data processhirify.global activities, includhirify.global Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and data retention practices.
• Assess suspected data breaches, advise on regulatory notifications, and support remediation activities.
• Review vendor and third-party arrangements to ensure strhirify.globalent data protection requirements are met.
• Develop and deliver privacy and data retention trainhirify.global while preparhirify.global reporthirify.global for leadership.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or legal advisory.
• Strong understandhirify.global of the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
• Workhirify.global knowledge of GDPR and experience with PIAs, data breach management, and privacy governance.
• University degree in Law or a related field.
• Must be based in Sydney, Australia.

Nice to have

• Privacy certifications such as CIPP or CIPM.
