VMware ICT Engineer (Nutanix)

What you will do

• Administer VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Manage virtual machine lifecycles and handle backup and recovery using tools like Veeam.
• Implement and administer Nutanix cloud infrastructures (AOS, AHV, Prism) following provided training.
• Automate operational workflows using PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for incident and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to design and execute complex system commissioning.

Requirements

• Must be based in Slovakia due to taxation regulations.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in IT administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter).
• Knowledge of Storage (SAN/NAS), Networking basics (VLANs, routing, firewalls), and backup solutions.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.
• English: B2 (Upper Intermediate) required.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism, and storage containers.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
