Student Virtualization Engineer (VMware/OpenShift)

Location: Hybrid (Košice, Slovakia). Must be a University student in Slovakia.

Salary: From 8€/h (approx. 693€/month)

What you will do

• Support Level 2 engineers in daily operations of virtualization platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues within VMware or OpenShift environments.
• Monitor system performance and availability to ensure stability.
• Support the maintenance and improvement of virtualized infrastructures.
• Contribute to automation tasks using Terraform and Ansible.
• Document internal processes and support activities.

Requirements

• Current status of University student in Slovakia.
• Basic knowledge of VMware or OpenShift Virtualization.
• Fundamental understanding of IT infrastructure (virtualization, storage, networking).
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of Git.
• Initial experience gained through coursework, labs, or previous internships.
