Service Designer

TL;DR

Service Designer (Fintech): Designing and improving complex business lending journeys for a major financial institution with an accent on systems thinking, user research, and stakeholder alignment. Location: Must be based in the Netherlands; hybrid work model with a requirement for face-to-face interviews in Utrecht.

Salary: €5,030 – €7,183 gross per month (scale 09).

What you will do

• Analyze and improve end-to-end customer and employee journeys within the business lending domain.
• Apply service design methods, journey mapping, and service blueprinting to identify opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and align diverse stakeholder groups including product managers and architects.
• Translate research findings into clear concepts, visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with UX designers and multidisciplinary teams throughout the discovery and implementation phases.
• Conduct user research to ensure customer needs are reflected in the design process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Service Design or a similar role.
• Must have legal right to work in the Netherlands (no visa sponsorship available).
• Proficiency in collaboration tools like Figma and Miro.
• Strong experience with journey mapping, user research, and systems thinking.
• Professional English proficiency is required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to navigate complex environments and bring structure to ambiguity.
