What you will do

• Drive the development and implementation of AI legal and compliance frameworks aligned with emerging regulations and industry standards.
• Lead cross-functional reviews of AI projects to identify and mitigate legal risks while enabling innovation.
• Develop and maintain AI governance documentation, such as model cards, algorithmic impact assessments, and compliance records.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement compliant AI practices regarding transparency, fairness, and accountability.
• Create processes for AI incident response, model monitoring, and legal compliance validation.
• Build scalable legal review processes for various internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management.
• 2+ years of experience specifically focused on AI/ML initiatives in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of emerging AI regulations, including the EU AI Act and state AI laws.
• Proven track record of developing AI governance frameworks and partnering with technical teams.
• Knowledge of IP considerations in AI, including training data rights and model ownership.
• Experience with AI risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs and generative AI legal considerations.
• Background in open source software and AI model licensing.
• Familiarity with AI ethics frameworks and algorithmic fairness principles.
• Experience with AI procurement and vendor assessment.
