What you will do

• Design and own high-quality features for the tax filing experience, from form logic to e-file submission.
• Translate complex tax rules into clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Build tools that enable non-technical contributors to make safe code changes.
• Drive architectural decisions to ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and Tax Specialists.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong technical skills in backend development, system design, and object-oriented programming.
• Track record of delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions on schedule.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience in the tax industry.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.
