What you will do

• Own core security initiatives from architecture to production for the hirify.globalsearch core engine.
• Develop foundational security models for authentication, authorization, and tenant isolation.
• Optimize security performance and implement cryptographic solutions for distributed environments.
• Collaborate with InfoSec to manage vulnerabilities and automate triage using AI-driven tools.
• Mentor and coach engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and security-first development.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Java internals, JVM memory management, and high-performance concurrency.
• Proven experience building scalable authorization systems (RBAC/ABAC) and token validation pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems security, zero-trust transport, and cluster state propagation.
• Proficiency with edge identity protocols like OAuth 2.0 and SAML.
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code.
• Must be located in Canada.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cipher suites, TLS, PKI, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
• Experience mapping technical controls to FedRAMP, FIPS 140, or SOC 2 requirements.
• Previous experience working on the internals of a search engine or data store.
