What you will do

• Define and execute the multi-year infrastructure vision and roadmap for a scaling fintech platform.
• Lead and mentor the infrastructure, platform, and SRE organization, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
• Own end-to-end reliability, defining SLOs, and acting as senior incident commander during high-severity outages.
• Manage AWS strategy, cloud budget (FinOps), and the Kubernetes platform as a product.
• Implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to meet strict RTO/RPO targets.
• Drive the transition to an AI-boosted SRE era, deploying AI tooling for incident response and toil reduction.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure/SRE/software dev, with 5+ years in leadership.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Aurora RDS (MySQL/Postgres).
• Proven track record of owning disaster recovery and operating 24/7 high-availability platforms.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Demonstrated AI-forward leadership and active use of AI tooling in engineering workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting PCI-DSS and SOC 2 compliance programs.
• Background in fintech, payments, or banking with regulatory experience.
• Experience with AIOps, LLM-based tooling, and multi-region active-active architectures.
• Proficiency with modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo).
