Senior Associate - Valuations

Location: Boston, MA; must have verifiable legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

What you will do

• Analyze historical and projected financial information and develop detailed financial models to value companies and investments.
• Direct junior staff in developing financial models and take ownership of their analyses and work products.
• Organize and analyze large datasets in Microsoft Excel and use Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
• Prepare and present thorough valuation analyses and client-ready deliverables.
• Communicate project status and results internally and externally, including report writing and deadline management.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, business development, networking, and leadership development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Two to four years of prior valuation work experience, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm.
• Experience as a key team member leading the development and completion of client-ready valuation deliverables or similar client service deliverables.
• Proven management skills, including recruiting, training, and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong financial modeling skills, valuation-related technical competencies, and the ability to collaborate with industry specialists.
• Strong report writing, communication, organization, professionalism, attention to detail, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to submit verification of legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Option Pricing Models, including Black-Scholes, and/or Monte Carlo simulation.
• Significant progress toward an ASA designation or similar designation.
• Interest in developing leadership and business development capabilities.
