Varicent Developer (Python)

TL;DR

Varicent Developer (Python/SQL): Supporting the development, configuration, and maintenance of the Varicent Incentive Compensation (ICM) platform with an accent on data imports, compensation calculations, and automation. Focus on creating Python scripts for integrations and optimizing system performance to support complex payout cycles.

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) in Charlotte, NC or Minneapolis, MN

What you will do

• Configure and support Varicent Incentive Compensation solutions across multiple lines of business.
• Develop data imports, compensation calculations, business rules, workflows, reports, and scheduler jobs.
• Create and maintain Python scripts for automation, integrations, and data transformations.
• Troubleshoot data, calculation, reporting, and system performance issues.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams throughout the SDLC to support compensation cycles and platform enhancements.
• Validate compensation data and support production payout processing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Varicent development and configuration experience.
• 5+ years of SDLC and enterprise application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data querying.
• Hands-on experience with workflow configuration, reporting, analytics, and scheduler/job management.
• Proven experience with Python scripting for data tasks.
• Experience supporting Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting large-scale incentive compensation programs.
• Knowledge of commissions, incentive, or sales compensation administration.
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and audit support.
• Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
