Managing Consultant - Corporate Finance - Transaction Advisory

Location: Boston, MA; willingness to travel up to 25%; must provide verification of legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Salary: $120,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day execution of buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory and diligence engagements.
• Review financial statements, quality of earnings, net working capital, business performance, financial trends, benchmarks, business plans, and cash flow statements.
• Identify purchase price adjustment issues and transaction-structuring insights.
• Delegate, supervise, and lead engagement activities while collaborating with TA and BRG experts, other firms, and client contacts.
• Lead reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Support marketing, client pitches, product and practice development, and client relationship building.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree equivalent in business, accounting or finance, management, engineering, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel, including constructing and understanding three-statement financial models, cash flows, and scenario analyses.
• Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and develop insights and recommendations from qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management, stakeholders, and other professionals.
• Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing work demands, and learn quickly.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with financial research tools such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
• Legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• MBA or CPA.
• CFA, CPA or equivalent, or technical/GAAP accounting expertise.
