What you will do

  • Lead the development and optimization of secondary and tertiary genomic analysis pipelines.
  • Design and validate computational models for variant classification and pathogenicity prediction.
  • Integrate multi-omics, phenotypic, and clinical datasets to enhance diagnostic yield.
  • Collaborate with clinical geneticists and software engineers to deploy production-ready tools.
  • Ensure computational reproducibility and scalability using CI/CD best practices.
  • Contribute to the strategic bioinformatics roadmap and scientific publications.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States
  • Master's or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in bioinformatics or computational genomics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a principal or leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and at least one compiled language (C/C++, Java).
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Nextflow, Snakemake) and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a clinical genomics or regulated diagnostic environment.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Knowledge of multi-omics data integration techniques.
