What you will do

• Lead the bioinformatics strategy for MRD assay design, development, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and validate scalable, production-ready bioinformatics pipelines for variant calling and MRD analysis.
• Partner with wet-lab, clinical, and software teams to ensure assay performance and regulatory compliance.
• Design and execute analytical studies to evaluate accuracy, limit of detection, and reproducibility.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior scientists and communicate complex results to leadership.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and audits with technical documentation and validation reports.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or Biostatistics (or M.Sc. with 3+ years of industry experience).
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in biotech, diagnostics, or regulated healthcare.
• Hands-on experience with NGS-based assay development and ctDNA-based MRD assays.
• Strong programming skills in Python for developing reproducible, production-grade pipelines.
• Proven experience in design-controlled, regulated environments (CAP/CLIA, IVD).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying bioinformatics workflows in AWS (EC2, S3, Batch, Lambda).
• Working knowledge of R.
• Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies.
