What you will do

• Drive practical GenAI R&D initiatives for real-world use cases with measurable impact.
• Build and ship full-stack features across FastAPI, Angular, and AWS, owning changes from commit to production.
• Make technical and architectural decisions, including when to use an LLM versus a tuned ML model or heuristic.
• Shape prompt quality evaluation and manage data pipelines for financial signals and news ingestion.
• Ensure structured logging, system health, and platform reliability and performance as usage grows.
• Lead architecture discussions and support other engineers through code reviews and system design guidance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping production software with strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (ideally AWS).
• Proactive use of GenAI tools to improve development workflows with real impact.
• Strong communication skills to explain concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ownership mindset: initiative, independence, and ability to take work from problem to solution.
• Strong interest in finance, markets, or investing (e.g., equities, ETFs) and willingness to build domain expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with the Angular frontend framework.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
