TL;DR
Director of QA (AI): Architecting and leading AI-driven quality engineering, automation infrastructure, and enterprise-scale performance validation with an accent on LLM-powered testing, scalable frameworks, and reliability engineering. Focus on validating non-deterministic AI/ML behavior, embedding quality into CI/CD pipelines, and building high-performing teams of automation engineers, performance engineers, and architects.
Location: Raanana, Israel; hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely each week

What you will do
- Define and lead AI-augmented quality initiatives, including LLM-powered test generation, triage, root-cause analysis, and AI/ML output validation.
- Own automation strategy across UI, API, and integration layers, and architect scalable test frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead enterprise-scale performance and load testing, define SLOs and SLAs, and drive analysis of regressions, bottlenecks, and latency spikes.
- Establish quality KPIs, flakiness SLAs, automation ROI metrics, coverage standards, and responsible AI testing governance.
- Build and lead teams of automation engineers, performance engineers, and architects while setting technical direction, OKRs, and career ladders.
- Partner with Product, DevOps, R&D, and SRE leadership to connect engineering velocity with product reliability.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering or QA experience, including 5+ years of engineering leadership at Director level or senior Staff+ level with direct reports.
- Deep experience building test automation frameworks from scratch and leading performance engineering for distributed, cloud-native systems at scale, including 10,000+ concurrent users.
- Experience shipping or operating AI/ML systems and understanding model drift, data validation, behavioral testing, and non-deterministic outputs.
- Experience managing multi-team organizations of 10–40+ IC engineers and architects.
- Working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java, modern CI/CD tooling, and observability or APM platforms.
