What you will do

• Hire, mentor, and coach a distributed team of Software Engineers while shaping technical vision and culture.
• Manage project status, resolve blockages, and collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize the team's roadmap.
• Oversee production services, including on-call rotations, incident response, and customer escalations.
• Drive reliability and automation improvements for the provisioning pipeline that converts customer orders into live BGP sessions.
• Coordinate capacity planning, partner onboarding, and cloud provider integrations with Network Operations and Sales Engineering.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager for software and systems engineers.
• Strong technical background in IP networking, including BGP, Layer 3 routing, and VLANs.
• Experience building or operating automation systems for network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in monitoring, alerting, and debugging distributed systems bridging software and physical operations.
• Experience managing on-call rotations for production services with direct customer impact.
• Must be authorized to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with BGP configuration, route policy, and peering operations.
• Experience with cloud provider networking (AWS Direct Connect, GCP Partner Interconnect, Azure ExpressRoute).
• Systems-level programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based service deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools in a professional setting.
