TL;DR
Missile Warning Test Engineer (Aerospace): Testing, analyzing, and validating next-generation space-based missile warning and remote sensing systems with an accent on developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) for the U.S. Space Force. Focus on executing complex system-of-systems integration tests, managing technical baselines, and ensuring mission readiness for critical defense capabilities.
Location: Must be based in El Segundo, CA (Hybrid: 2-3x per week on-site required). U.S. Citizenship and active U.S. Government Secret security clearance are mandatory.
Salary: $125,000 – $183,700 annually.

What you will do
- Test, analyze, evaluate, and validate complex space and ground-based missile warning systems.
- Develop and execute Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and System Test Plans (STPs).
- Conduct system-of-systems tests for space-to-ground integration and facilitate technical interchange meetings.
- Decompose system requirements and establish acceptance criteria for test readiness reviews.
- Perform data analysis and generate comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with government clients, FFRDCs, and prime contractors to achieve program goals.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in test and evaluation, verification, or system integration on Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Government developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) programs.
- Experience with test procedures and artifacts IAW AFMAN 63-119 and AFI 99-103.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a technical field.
- CTEP or INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP).
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools like DOORS or MagicDraw.
- Direct experience with OPIR, NGG, NGP, or SBIRS programs.
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 series and DoDAF architecture framework.
